Shawn Cobb is a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Department and focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, typically representing major corporations and governmental entities in multi-year lawsuits involving significant damage claims.
Mr. Cobb has counseled and successfully represented clients in a wide range of matters, including:
- Environmental remediation and allocation actions
- Federal procurement law and regulations
- California land use law
- Alleged breaches of fiduciary duty and professional misconduct
- Internal investigations and white collar criminal defense
- Escrow and insurance law
- Labor and employment law
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cobb spent five years providing risk analysis and mitigation services to the US defense and intelligence communities. Mr. Cobb previously served for nine years in the US Army Reserve, including as the Battalion Intelligence Officer for the 11th Psychological Operations Battalion, 2nd PSYOP Group, United States Special Operations Command.
Mr. Cobb is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California, and all California state courts.
