Sheryl H. Love

In addition to preparing and trying patent infringement and other intellectual property cases, Sheryl Love has broad experience in counseling clients and in negotiating and drafting patent, trademark, copyright and right-of-publicity licenses, joint development, noncompetition, and other agreements.

Sheryl recently tried a three-patent case for EMCORE Corp. involving cable television transmitters to a jury, resulting in a verdict of invalidity and willful infringement, including obtaining summary judgment of infringement of one patent before trial. In a related case for EMCORE, Sheryl defeated the infringer's defense of inequitable conduct on summary judgment. She also has taken patent infringement cases involving lumbar supports and bar code scanners from complaint through hearing before an administrative law judge and review by the International Trade Commission. Sheryl litigates nonpatent matters, including a trade secrets and unfair competition case for BARBRI that was successfully settled shortly before trial. [1]
