Shivanth Pande

Shivanth started his career at Deloite Touche Tohmatsu, in emerging markets and development consultancy in London in 2005. He returned to Nepal in 2007, working for Nepal Investment Bank as the department head of Research and Development, where he worked to establish the banks Microfinance, Capital Markets and Financial Outreach programs.Shivanth is currently the founding CEO of NIBL Capital, one of the first fully fledged investment banks in Nepal, He also happens to be the youngest CEO in the financial sector in Nepal. NIBL Capital provides corporate finance, bond and equity finance, and advisory. NIBL Capital also provides Mutual funds management and Portfolio management services. Shivanth is also the founder and on the board of M! Nepal a social venture initiated to facilitate banks and microfinance companies extend outreach of financial products to the unbaked poor, both urban and rural. M!Nepal has a unique business model in mobile money enabling banks under different switching platforms to operate under a common brand or establish their own brand. M!Nepal plans to connect over 100 Banks on a single platform and enable seamless transactions to take place instantly. M!Nepal aims to provide niche financial services to over 1 million unbanked people in Nepal by 2015.Shivanth also helped to co found ICRA Nepal, the first credit rating company in Nepal. Shivanth is a controlling stake holder in Nepal Investment Bank, one of the largest banks in Nepal with asset base of $ 750,000,000 and net profit of $11,000,000 in 2012. Shivanth is also an investor and advisor in the Himalayan Infrastructure Fund which invests in clean energy and is investing in a portfolio of three projects amounting to 125 MW of power generation. Shivanth has served as a youth advisor to the United Nations Nepal mission for 3 years helping review youth and gender participation in the UNDP and UNICEF country programs. Shivanth has helped to raise over $80,000 for heritage conservation and restoration projects in such as the reconstruction of the Sundari Chwok in patan durbar square, a world heritage site, Shivanth also ran the CSR program for Nepal Investment Bank for 5 years where overseeing the disbursement of over $100,000 to support various charitable initiatives such as education, AIDS awareness and disaster relief.Shivanth is also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation and Nepalese Young Entreprenuers Foundation.
