Simon Kelly

Simon Kelly was a property developer in Ireland working in the industry for over 20 years. His family business was one of the most active during this time developing a number of multinational headquarters and an extensive hotel portfolio. The collapse of the property market in 2008 pushed the family business over the edge in insolvency. The Kelly's were one of first families to recognise the extent and seriousness of the Irish economic crash and they were forthright in expressing this. Simon Kelly wrote a widely read newspaper column for the Sunday Tribune and followed this up with his book Breakfast with Anglo which told the story of the property business and banking during the boom.
