Sinthu Sivakumaran is a tax associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins. Ms Sivakumaran qualified as a solicitor in 2010, having trained at the firm, gaining broad experience in the commercial litigation, project finance, tax and corporate (mergers and acquisitions) groups. During her training she worked on a variety of matters, including the representation of six export credit agencies and 17 commercial banks in connection with the US$14 billion financing of the PNG LNG project in Papua New Guinea.
Ms. Sivakumaran’s practice area covers a broad range of international tax and transactional tax matters, focusing primarily on the tax aspects of corporate and finance transactions, tax disputes, multi-jurisdictional tax planning, and tax-related financing and structuring. She acts for an array of well-known companies across many industrial and financial sectors and has worked on a number of representative matters to date, including, the acquisition of the Harrods Group by Qatar Holding LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Investment Authority).
Ms. Sivakumaran has also served as a member of the firm’s Global Recruiting Committee.
