The Snows Lake 2004 “Two” Red Blend comprises 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc to display the kind of deep black fruit found in Napa Cabs, but with a finesse and elegance that’s more akin to a Bordeaux. It’s a profile that doesn’t have an equivalent in any of California’s prestigious Cab zones, and if Lake County can routinely deliver this caliber of Cabernet, it may become one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon regions in the world. This Cabernet’s lifted aromas of blackberries and subtle raspberry are integrated with hints of cedar and toasted oak and flavors follow with the same rich blackberry, red berry, and even structure, with subtle oak and a tarry finish.
