Sokeel Park

Sokeel Park is Director of Research and Strategy for Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), an international NGO which brings North Korean refugees to safety and freedom and is developing strategies to accelerate grassroots changes inside the country. In this role he regularly commentates on North Korean issues for international media. Before deciding to dedicate his career to working for the North Korean people he worked for the South Korean government, the United Nations, a diplomatic consultancy, and an internet marketing start-up. Sokeel has an academic background in psychology, international relations and international history, and studied at the University of Warwick and the London School of Economics. He has lived in New York, Los Angeles, London and Seoul, but he counts himself lucky to have grown up in Manchester, because it made him a lifelong Manchester United fan. [+]
