Sol Rouge 2011 Syrah Estate

The Sol Rouge 2011 Syrah is a blend of four Syrah clones planted at Sol Rouge Estate Vineyard in the Red Hills Appellation of Lake County, California. This 70-acre estate contains rich, red volcanic soil (from which Sol Rouge derives its name, translating to ‘Red Soil’ in French), and aggressive hillside slopes that are tightly planted to achieve greater complexity in the fruit. Opaque ruby purple in color, this 2011 Syrah opens with red berry, black fruit, and toasted oak on the nose followed by rich, lush, and concentrated fruit on the palate. Well integrated tannins provide balance and structure and help support the long, lingering finish. [+]
