S.P. Drummer 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Blair Vineyard

This sixth vintage of S.P. Drummer wines is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%) and Cabernet Franc (45%) from the Blair Vineyard located on the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley. Winemaker Scott Peterson says, “this stellar wine is the best Blair Vineyard designate produced to date” and Wine Spectator supports the statement with an impressive 90 Point score. Intense aromatics of exotic flowers, violets and lavenders fill the glass and blend with delicious nuances of ripe black cherries and plums. The flavors reflect ripe stone fruits that are deep and complex, richly textured, and yield muscular, but velvety tannins on the rich finish. This lush and elegant wine was aged 20 months in oak and will pair seamlessly with lamb, steaks, and rich pasta dishes. [+]
