Stanley A. McChrystal

Stanley A. McChrystal is a retired four-star Army general and co-founder and partner of the McChrystal Group. Until his retirement from the US Army in 2010, he held several leadership positions, including commander of US and International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan and of Joint Special Operations Command, where he led US military counterterrorism efforts worldwide. He was also director of the Joint Staff. McChrystal is a senior fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and chairman of the Aspen Institute’s Franklin Project.
