Stephanie McHughen’s practice focuses on corporate and intellectual property transactions for public and emerging life science companies.
Ms. McHughen advises clients on corporate and commercial transactions and has experience:
- Drafting and negotiating licensing, development and commercialization collaborations
- Conducting intellectual property diligence on various capital market and M&A deals including review of licensing agreements and intellectual property portfolios
Prior to attending law school she earned a PhD in Neurobiology from the University of California, Irvine, where she worked in the laboratory of Dr. Steven C. Cramer. Research for her dissertation, titled “A polymorphism in the gene for brain derived neurotrophic factor influences motor related experience-dependent plasticity in the human brain,” used neuroimaging techniques and genetic analyses to study cortical plasticity in humans and was also published in peer-reviewed journals.
