Stephen Fanuka

Stephen Fanuka learned the art of Cabinetmaking at an early age and the ins and outs of the trade from his old-school European father. After graduating college and a brief stint in advertising, Stephen joined forces with his father to create Fanuka Custom Cabinets. [2]

Stephen works with some of the world's top Designers, Architects and Celebrities. His mission is still as simple as when he started: Give the client what he or she paid for, a first-rate job with class-A service. On DIY NetworkMillion Dollar Contractor, Stephen deals with the nightmares involved in the high-end world of opulent spaces, unbelievable materials and infinite dollar signs. Getting the job done right, on time and on budget, isn’t always as pretty as the $200-a-square-foot marble he installs. [11]

In life  and in the show, he works with the biggest Decorators, the biggest Architects in the world, and they're always doing something that’s going to trend. They're working outside the box, as opposed to what’s inside the box, almost like the cookie cutter method. He gives new ideas that can be put used in the home; what’s trending, what’s out there. The show is not about the million dollars, but the million dollar ideas. The audience may not be able to have him as a contractor, but for 30 minutes he does a great service. [13]
