Stephen J. DeCosse

Steve DeCosse has more than 20 years of experience advising companies on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, investments, infrastructure projects, restructurings, and other strategic transactions in the energy and natural resources, LNG, transportation, medical device, CRO, auto parts, and electronics sectors. He advises Japanese and non-Japanese companies in relation to anticorruption diligence, compliance, and investigations.

Steve has represented Japanese companies in their cross-border acquisitions, investments, and projects including major trading companies, a major oil and gas company, Tokyo Electron, Zeon Corporation, and many others. He has advised non-Japanese companies including American Airlines, Chevron, Quintiles, RHJ International, Synaptics, and others on their investment activities involving Japan. Steve has represented Japanese companies on anticorruption diligence and internal investigations in relation to their foreign subsidiaries and business activities, including, among others, in Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, China, and Taiwan, and U.S. listed companies in FCPA-related internal investigations of Japan subsidiaries.
