The Burning Angels

The Burning Angels were formed from a group of eclectic Athens, Ga musicians in 2008. Their self-titled debut album was recorded and engineered by John Keane (R.E.M, Widespread Panic) who also makes appearances on the album with pedal steel and guitar. The band has recently just finished their 5th studio album (American Stranger) and currently working on it's 6th album in Nashville, TN.

The Burning Angels have also served as tour support for the legendary Athens band, The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies and shared the stage with regional and national acts such as, Bloodkin, Shonna Tucker & Eye Candy, members of The Drive By Truckers and Widespread Panic. Each show that TBA performs is a driven Americana sound with harmonies and edgy roots music.

Frontman Mark Cunningham (Mark Cunningham & The Nationals) has recently released The Dimestore Redemption that has been consistently appearing weekly in the top 50 Roots Music Report for the U.S. and the Top 10 for the state of Georgia [+]
