Formed in Virginia in 2013, The Lonely Hands blend the musical perspectives of their 4-member contributors to produce an honest and original sound that sits on a fence between Americana, Indie Pop, and Rock. The sound is anchored by warm harmonies from their 2 primary songwriters, Emily Barker and Jenna Kole; and a solid rhythm section from Upright Bassist, Scott Wagner and Percussionist Jay Kole. The group employs a variety of eclectic instruments including Autoharp, Melodica, Glockenspiel and Ukulele; in addition to the baseline instruments like acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and violin. Late 2013 the group released an Eponymous 5-song EP available at shows or at bandcamp.
