The Rightsiders

The Rightsiders is a San Francisco based Bay Area Alternative Rock band, formed in 2011 by rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist Nick Wolfe, and lead guitarist Zach Imbriani, and by 2013 had recruited bassist and backup vocalist Toby “Ghost” McKinnley and drummer/percussionist Sergio Bustamante

Wolfe and Zach originally met during middle school and remained friends throughout high school when they started the band, being influenced by bands such as The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin and Kings of Leon among countless other rock groups. Our music sounds like a modern style wrapped around a classic sound, with various styles influencing our sound from grunge, punk, classic rock, and folk to name a few. The band is a complete four piece, rhythm and lead guitar, bass and drums and four point harmonies and backups from all four members.

After their first session in the studio it all happened to click and the music started to come together. Zach, their lead guitarist, was shredding sweet melodies and sharp riffs; Ghost was sending earthquakes and tremors with his growling bass grooves; Wolfe was creating pulsating chords and tuneful arpeggios while belting synonymous harmonies and Sergio kept the tempo up by slamming down thunderous beats and machine gun style fills. This was the true beginning of The Rightsiders dynamic sound.

In 2014, their live sets started out playing shows in small shops, cafes and delis and, by late-2014 early-2015, they were playing venues such as the DNA Lounge (7 December 2014) in downtown San Francisco, CA which host the notorious annual, “Battle of the Bands” (for which they took the 1st prize preliminary, 1st prize final round 12 April 2015), then invited back to DNA Lounge (18 January 2015) for the rock/metal showcase and "Best of San Francisco" (17 May 2015), and San Carlos, CA’s, Devil’s Canyon (22 January 2015).
