The Silhouette Era

The Silhouette Era bring dream pop infused indie rock out of San Francisco, CA. The Silhouette Era started as a solo project for singer/songwriter Carlos J Gonzalez. The recording for his first solo debut album “Movements” began July of 2012 and was officially released on Oscillator Records on November 6, 2012. Gonzalez was quickly joined by long time friends James Findlay (of Concave) on drums and Clayton Payton on bass. The trio have been playing music together in one form or another for some time now.
Influenced by an array of genres and decades, The Silhouette Era draw some of their heaviest influences from the great indie bands of the 80′s and 90′s. Such as The Smiths, The Pixies, Archers of Loaf, Sonic Youth, Superchunk, Modest Mouse, Duster but have been compared to more contemporary artists such as Broken Social Scene. [+]
