Las Vegas’ The Conwaves offer up more than just a band with a unique name. With soaring vocals, relatable lyrics, and excellent musicianship, you’ll want to keep an eye on this up-and-coming alternative rock group. The Conwaves began in a garage last year and in that short time have recorded an EP, made it on to billboards across Las Vegas, headlined a packed Sayers Club, opened for the Plain White T’s, and opened for Daughtry.

The Conwaves features Chaz Flores on rhythm electric guitar and vocals, Will Leahy on bass and vocals, Brian Madrid on drums, and Ben Skaggs on lead electric guitar and keyboard. This four-piece band first began in the garage of bassist Will Leahy, but quickly moved to practice studios after complaints of “shaking walls” by his neighbors. From there, The Conwaves played smaller venues in Las Vegas like the Velveteen Rabbit and Bar & Bistro, but quickly gained the interest of larger venues such as Backstage Bar & Billiards and Foxtail. The band took a short break from shows in early 2015 to record and release an EP, but returned with a bang by headlining the popular Sayers Club at SLS Hotel twice, opening for The Plain White T's, and opening for the 5-time platinum recording artist, Daughtry.
