Third Class

Third Class (Lee Boyle, Jack Boyle, Pepe Parish) is an indie pop trio from Youngstown, Ohio. The band uses keyboard, 2-string guitar, fuzzy bass guitar, boxy drums, strained vocals, & poetic lyrics. Third Class is influenced by musicians, Ben Folds Five, Curtis Mayfield, Fiona Apple, The Violent Femmes, John Lennon, The Clash, & Radiohead, as well as writers, William Carlos Williams, Ralph Ellison, & Kenneth Rexroth. Since 2006, Third Class has released 2 studio albums. They have also released a free EP, paid for by donations from local fans, friends, & businesses. Third Class appears on compilations from record companies such as Wild Kindness Records (Ohio), & 08945 (UK), as well as 2 of their own compilations of early recordings. Third Class received press coverage from Under The Radar, Cleveland Scene, Youngstown Rock, Vindicator, Wooster Voice, Brooklyn Vegan, Planet Pluto, K Records, In Your Speakers, Indie Monster, Limerence, Ivy’s Red Sweater, Black Squirrel Radio, Kicksaw Media, & Jimmy Fro Indie Music Show. Third Class’ members are published and nominated writers. The band has performed at venues in OH, PA, WV, NY, MI, NJ, ME, CT, MD, KY, & TN.
