Thomas Vogel is a partner in the Corporate Department in the Paris and London offices of Latham & Watkins. He has a significant experience in cross-border debt capital markets, structured finance and derivatives.
In relation to debt capital markets transactions, Mr. Vogel regularly advises corporate issuers and underwriters on international debt offerings under Regulation S, US private placements and 144A resales in the context of both standalone offerings, EMTN or USMTN programs. In relation to structured finance and derivatives, he represents clients (including ultra high net worth individuals) on a wide range of structured equity solutions and fixed-income transactions (often delivered through debt securities) including credit, fund, energy, catastrophe and longevity derivatives. In particular, Mr. Vogel represents investment managers and financial services firms in connection with structured investments across asset classes (including collateral loan obligations). He has also developed a particular expertise in advising clients in pre-contentious financial disputes and risk assessment issues.
Mr. Vogel has acquired years of transactional experience in New York, London and Tokyo both as a private practitioner (with a Magic Circle firm) and senior in-house counsel (with a leading US investment bank). In recent years, he has represented clients in multi-billion corporate and finance transactions in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Vogel is qualified to practice in New York and Paris.
