Tish Hinojosa Country BIO 2016
Born Leticia Hinojosa to Mexican immigrant parents in 1955, Tish’s love of music began with 60’s Mexican and American Pop radio. By the1980’s, she was singing for a well-known publishing company in Nashville and fronting her own country band in the southwest U.S.
By 1989, she was living in Austin, Texas, and achieved national and international success signing record contracts with A&M Records and Warner Brothers Records, reaching top 40 Country charts, along with top charting songs in Europe and Asia, and duets with Kris Kristofferson and Dwight Yoakum. She also recorded and worked with Latino icons Flaco Jimenez and Los Lobos, along with Western Swing giant, Ray Benson.
In the 2000’s Tish left the U.S. to live in Europe. She returned to Austin in 2013 and is again entertaining audiences from listening rooms to classic country dance halls.
