Six-time Midas Lister Todd Chaffee led IVP's investment in Twitter in February 2009 at a $220 million pre-money valuation when the company had 29 employees. Chaffee wrote the term sheet for the $35 million round and brought Benchmark into the round as a co-investor. To date, IVP's $44 million investment in Twitter has generated well over a $1 billion return. Chaffee joined IVP as a managing director and general partner in March 2000. At IVP Todd has led investments in Pandora, HomeAway, Kayak and Netflix. Prior to IVP, Chaffee was an executive at Visa overseeing strategic planning and corporate development, and establishing and managing its venture capital program.
