Tom Alabaster is a corporate partner and a member of the Firm’s Investment Funds Group. Mr. Alabaster represents investment fund sponsors, investors and other market participants in Europe and internationally, maintaining a particular focus on U.S. institutions operating in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Alabaster’s practice focuses on fund formation, investment firm structuring, joint ventures, sponsor equity, carry and governance issues and the related on-going regulatory and compliance issues.

Mr. Alabaster is consistently recognised for his work in investment funds and was recently named as one of Private Fund Management’s 30 under 40 in fund formation. Before Latham, Mr. Alabaster served as a senior funds counsel at The Carlyle Group and as Carlyle’s Chief Compliance Officer for Europe and Africa. Prior to Carlyle, he practiced investment management law at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York.
