Sitting at the head of Upper Loch Torridon in the shadow of the mighty mountain Liathach, Torridon Youth Hostel is a fantastic base for exploring some of the finest mountain scenery in Europe.
Towering immediately above the youth hostel, Liathach (3456ft) is the highest peak in the area and, with its spectacular pinnacles, is one of the most challenging ridge walks in Scotland. Equally enjoyable expeditions may also be taken to Beinn Eighe, Beinn Alligin, Beinn Liath Mor, Sgorr Ruadh, Maol Chean Dearg, and Slioch. It’s a fantastic base for hillwalkers and climbers as well as those simply wishing to relax, enjoy the surroundings and watch the wildlife. Other local activities include clay pigeon shooting, archery, kayaking and mountain biking.
Our purpose-built youth hostel provides modern, practical facilities for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike, including comfortably sized private rooms, a spacious self-catering kitchen, a drying room and two large lounges with panoramic views of the mountains.
Dogs are now welcome at Torridon Youth Hostel, for a small fee, when guests book a private room. Please note that dogs must be booked in advance to ensure that a dog friendly room is allocated.
