Dr. Torsten Volkholz is a counsel in the Hamburg office of Latham & Watkins. He advises sponsors, borrowers and lenders on finance, real estate and restructuring matters.
Mr. Volkholz's particular areas of expertise are real estate, acquisition and restructuring finance, as well as asset-based and general corporate lending. His expertise includes the restructuring of real estate portfolios and corporate restructurings, as well as the representation of creditors and investors in distressed companies.
Furthermore, Mr. Volkholz has a wide range of experience in the law pertaining to foundations.
Mr. Volkholz received his legal training in Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. Prior to joining Latham, he completed a traineeship at a commercial bank and worked as an assistant lecturer at the University of Kiel and at Bucerius Law School.
