Treat Williams

Actor. Born Richard Treat Williams on December 1, 1951 in Stamford, Connecticut. After graduating from prep school, Williams enrolled in Pennsylvania?s Franklin and Marshall College. During the summers, he worked with Fulton Repertory Theatre, a prestigious acting troupe in nearby Lancaster. After graduating from college, Williams headed to Manhattan, making his Broadway debut in Grease in 1976, first understudying and then taking over the lead role of Danny Zuko. It was in this role that he was spotted by director Milos Forman, who cast him in the screen version of Hair, the film that gave the actor his first taste of stardom. [+]
