Uchechi A. Demaske

Uchechi Demaske's practice focuses on complex litigation, including representations related to products liability claims and contract disputes in state and federal courts.

Uchechi has represented General Motors in matters related to dealership disputes and has been involved in Jones Day's defense of the "Engle progeny" smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in Florida. Since joining Jones Day, she has been a member of six trial teams in cases tried to verdict. As a member of those teams, Uchechi has been involved in all stages of litigation, developing a wide range of experience that includes briefing and motions practice; offensive and defensive discovery; the evaluation, development, and preparation of fact and expert witnesses for trial; and taking and defending depositions. She also has been involved in matters before the American Arbitration Association and currently represents a national credit reporting bureau against consumer litigation brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
