Uchenna Ekuma-Nkama

Uchenna Ekuma-Nkama is a former federal prosecutor who represents corporations in class action and single plaintiff suits, including FLSA collective actions, claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and trade secret, unfair competition, and restrictive covenant matters. She also defends and counsels clients in connection with a variety of employment issues, commercial disputes, and FCRA claims.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Uchenna represented the United States, as lead counsel, in numerous criminal cases. Uchenna successfully prosecuted and handled appeals in a broad range of criminal cases, including securities fraud, conspiracy narcotics trafficking, and firearms offenses. Her experience covers all stages of trial and appellate litigation including examining witnesses in grand jury proceedings, first-chairing a bench trial in federal court, and presenting oral argument before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
