After graduating from high school, Maxie started being interested in photography. While majoring in management at Rattana Business Administration College, Maxie had won the 2nd prize of the “Management and Protection of the Environment in Laos photography contest (2009). Later, Maxie and his friends founded Langkorng (Lao for “Behind the Camera”), a Lao photographers club; the biggest photography society in Laos at present. The main purpose of Langkorng is to create local charity through photography. Since 2010, Maxie serves as the Managing Director for Langkorng and succeeded cooperation with numerous companies and organizations including the Lao Journalist Association and the French Institute. Maxie has organized workshops for Lao youngsters, charity photo exhibitions, and projects supporting young Lao photographers in Laos. The latter brought Maxie and Langkorng accreditation by the U.S. Embassy and support to organize a workshop and two exhibitions for Lao journalists from twelve Lao newspapers. Besides working with Langkorng currently as a managing director, Maxie has founded his own production team and has signed a contract with a private television station in Laos for running his own traveling television program around Asia, with the purpose of giving inspiration, empower people and society in Laos.
