Veerle Roovers

Veerle Roovers' practice focuses on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy. She advises domestic and cross-border enterprises in complex chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts. Veerle also counsels lenders, bondholders, and other secured and unsecured creditors and creditor groups in restructuring matters, and represents clients in distressed mergers and acquisitions. She provides insolvency-related advice to international Firm clients and is a member of Jones Day's European Distress Investing Initiative.

Veerle represented the debtors in the chapter 11 cases of Chrysler, Dana, Hostess Brands, and WHX, among others. She has restructuring experience in several industries, including automotive, airline, energy, shipping, manufacturing, communications, equipment and tool rental, and temporary office space. [1]
