Victoria Dorfman

Victoria Dorfman represents domestic and foreign clients in appellate and Supreme Court litigation, complex commercial litigation, and international arbitration. Victoria has argued before federal and state courts of appeals.

Her representations include obtaining a unanimous victory for a Chinese corporate client in the U.S. Supreme Court; the City of Detroit in appellate proceedings relating to its Chapter 9 plan of adjustment; UNCITRAL arbitration of a publicly-traded Russian oil company’s subsidiary in a dispute over a license to Russian diamond mines valued at $8 billion; a German pharmaceuticals company in state and federal courts in antitrust-patent challenges to agreements regarding a blockbuster drug's production; Chevron in a breach of contract suit against the government, leading to a damages award, including a sanction against the government for bad-faith litigation conduct; the Prince of Brunei against the Sultan of Brunei in asset disputes; and Chrysler in challenges in the U.S. Supreme Court regarding its sale to Fiat.
