Virginia F. Tent

Virginia Tent is counsel in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's White Collar Defense & Investigations and Global Competition & Antitrust Practices. She focuses her practice on government defense and investigations, antitrust and trade regulation issues, and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Tent primarily represents clients in government investigations and other white collar matters, SEC enforcement proceedings, internal investigations, and antitrust investigations. She has represented companies and individuals in matters involving the US Department of Justice, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission, as well as individual states’ attorneys general. Ms. Tent’s practice includes a particular concentration on cross-border issues relating to litigation and investigations, often drawing on her fluency in multiple foreign languages. She represents clients across a wide range of industries, including financial services, hospitality and travel, energy, and industrial manufacturing.

Ms. Tent is active in pro bono representations and has previously served on the firm’s Associates Committee and Training and Career Enhancement Committee. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section and is a contributor to the 5th edition of the American Bar Association’s Premerger Notification Practice Manual.
