The Volker Eisele 2010 Terzetto is a unique proprietary blend of co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, all grown in the winery’s Chiles Valley vineyard in Napa Valley. The fruit from this estate produces wines of uncommon balance and finesse, and Volker Eisele’s highly awarded Terzetto blend is consistently known for its elegance, depth and complexity, vintage to vintage. The blend is produced with equal parts of each varietal, allowing the characteristics to beautifully harmonize without any one varietal dominating. It’s name, Terzetto, is perfectly fitting as it translates to a musical harmony of three different voices. Deep red in color, the 2010 Terzetto opens with aromas and flavors of dark berry and cherry fruits, vibrant toasty oak, sweet vanilla, and soft tannins. Robert Parker noted, “One doesnot see many wines from Chiles Valley, Especially Cabernets, at this level of quality.” [+]
