We Are Temporary

Brooklyn's We Are Temporary draws from influences in electronic music, dream pop, darkwave, industrial, ambient, and post-rock, oscillating without inhibition between musical violence and frailty, lyrical defensiveness and vitriol, bursts of optimism and nihilism. Featured in magazines and blogs such as The Village Voice, Brooklyn Vegan, Medium, Under The Radar, and Impose, his sound and intensity have been compared to bands like Crystal Castles, Fever Ray, iamamiwhoami, Gesaffelstein, Black Marble, Light Asylum, Boards of Canada, and early Skinny Puppy. A debut EP “Afterthoughts” released in July 2013 via Brooklyn label Stars & Letters Records, and his first full-length album is slated for 2015. His live set premiered at the now-shuttered Williamsburg cult venue, Glasslands, in June 2014, and he has subsequently played clubs such as Cameo Gallery, Trans Pecos, and Pianos (CBGB Music Festival), with more shows in New York to follow.
