Wendy Taylor is director of the Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which she joined in 2010. Taylor founded and built the center; spearheaded several Grand Challenges to globally crowdsource solutions to health challenges, including the Saving Lives at Birth and Fighting Ebola Grand Challenges; and created multiple public-private partnerships. She previously founded the nonprofit Bio Ventures for Global Health, held senior positions with Malaria No More and the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and worked in the executive and legislative branches of the US government.
