William J. McGinley

Bill McGinley represents members of Congress, candidates, and corporations in investigations before the Office of Congressional Ethics and the House and Senate Ethics Committees; enforcement matters before the Federal Election Commission and state agencies; and in grand jury proceedings. He also advises corporations regarding the design and implementation of political law compliance programs and candidates, political party committees, and outside groups regarding election law issues.

Bill's recent experience includes representing national nonprofit organizations targeted in civil and criminal investigations at the state and federal levels and members of Congress in campaign finance and ethics investigations. Prior to joining Jones Day he also served as counsel to the Rules Committee and represented parties in delegate contests before the Credentials Committee at the 2012 Republican National Convention. Bill advises several national organizations regarding the establishment and operation of their independent expenditure units. [1]
