Willowbrook 2008 Pinot Noir Sonoma County | Wiki & Review | Everipedia

Willowbrook Cellars' 2008 Sonoma County Pinot Noir is a blend of small lots of Pinot Noir from around Sonoma County with a small amount added from the Napa Valley side of Carneros to promote complexity and layers in the finished product. This special blend was hand selected and blended by winemaker Joe Otos to bring across that classic Willowbrook style and character. He scoured through Sonoma County seeking Pinot Noir that offered an exciting component that would help distinguish the final blend. The resulting wine offers intense dark fruit with hints of coffee and chocolate and a slight floral overtone that only leaves you wanting more. The California State Fair awards this stunning wine 94 Points with a Best of Class distinction and a Gold Medal. Willowbrook's 2008 Sonoma County Pinot Noir also garnered a Gold Medal from the Long Beach Grand Cru, a Gold Medal from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition, and a Gold Medal from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Tasting beautifully now, this wine also has the structure and intensity to hold up for a few more years in the cellar. [+]
