Wrath produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc made from estate fruit and highquality purchased fruit. Formerly known as San Saba, Michael Thomas and his mother Barbara bought the winery in 2007 and renamed it Wrath Wines. Since then, Michael has begun an aggressive vineyard rejuvenation program, replanting large sections of the estate vineyard with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah and has assembled a vineyard/winemaking team that includes winemaker Sabrine Rodems, consultant Byron Kosuge, consultant Jeff Ritchey, and grower Steve McIntyre. The 18 acre San Saba estate vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc on Arroyo gravelly loam and light layers of Hanford gravelly sandy loam soils. Doctor’s Vineyard, located in the Santa Lucia Highlands is a 193 acre parcel planted to Pinot Noir, Syrah and Malbec. The San Saba estate vineyard is certified sustainable and the Doctor’s vineyard is sustainable. [+]
