Xabregas 2007 Proprietary Red Blend Australia

The Xabregas 2007 Cabernet Merlot is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) with a smaller amount of Merlot (30%). Cabernet Sauvignon is a popular varietal within the Great Sothern’s Mount Barker region in Australia, producing wines with spicy, bold flavors. The Merlot adds a bit of softness, creating a deliciously smooth texture. As a result, this wine is very fruit driven, with sweet lifted aromas of mint, violet, black currant, mulberry, and oak, with soft fine grained tannins and spiced oak nuances. A deep red color and full, rich mouthfeel come from the 18 months of aging in oak. A lovely wine with nice integrated flavors and complexity. Try pairing with spicy barbequed meats. [+]
