Yochai Benkler

Yochai Benkler is the Berkman Professor of Entrepreneurial Legal Studies at Harvard. Prior to coming to Harvard, he was Joseph M. Field '55 Professor of Law at Yale. He writes about the Internet and the emergence of networked economy and society. Since the 1990's he has been a major theorist of the role of commons and radically decentralized individual action and collaboration in the production of information, knowledge and culture as well as the organization of infrastructure. In May 2011, Yochai was awarded the prestigious Ford Foundation Visionaries Awardan award given to innovators chosen for their vision, leadership, and pioneering work. [+]
