Yori Kamphuis

I am passionate about providing a more secure world. I believe that the ones capable of taking responsibility, should be taking responsibility. That I learned through growing up with 20+ foster siblings, who all lived in our family (maximum of 5 at the same time). In 2007, I experienced what it is like to not be able to study or function normally. A car accident in Kenya caused a resuscitation, brain surgery, 9 broken bones and permanent brain damaged. It put my functioning to a halt. In contrary to the doctors’ beliefs, I fully recovered of this all. I went on to obtain my BSc in Industrial Engineering (University of Twente), MA in Geopolitics, Territory & Security (King’s College London), studied exponential technologies (Singularity University, Silicon Valley) and was chosen as Associate of King’s College following classes in theology and reconciliation. I studied in the UK and US with fully covering scholarships. [+]
