Yuck Finn grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He spent most of his time between the beach and the bay, driving through the desolate backroads going nowhere in particular. His love for music came at an early age, listening to his grandmother play Simon & Garfunkel, Abbey Road, and Jim Croce. His first band, Dick n Autumn, was a garage band and his first attempt at writing his own music. Aspiring to sound like The Velvet Underground and Talking Heads, but sounding more like dissonance and, "pissing on guitars." His next band, Mt Organ, was a more mature sound, but still fell short of where Yuck Finn wanted to be. He left the Eastern Shore and made his way up north. From Maryland to DC by way of West By God Virginia. He writes songs that fall somewhere between folk and alternative indie rock.
