Zachary E. Soto

Zac Soto's practice focuses on M&A and general corporate transactional matters. He also has experience with regulatory issues facing banks and broker-dealers. Additionally, he has managed issues related to the purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of real estate. Zac has supervised corporate and regulatory aspects of numerous corporate restructurings and transactions and has drafted and negotiated transactional documents for restructuring, purchase and sale, and merger transactions. He also has experience in the field of data management, having assisted companies doing business throughout the United States in the creation of data security policies. He also has registered and advised domestic and international banks, broker-dealers, and investment advisers regarding regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, Zac negotiated and managed the corporate restructuring and sale of membership interests in a retail skin care product company, established a $600 million credit facility between a global beverage conglomerate and a global financial institution, represented a wholesale manufacturer of household products in obtaining a multimillion dollar investment, and assisted a manufacturer of flood barrier elements in securing East Coast distribution. He also managed multimillion dollar refinancings on properties in Florida and nationwide, coordinated the sale of a multimillion dollar loan asset portfolio, assisted a national restaurant chain in a multimillion dollar sale of various assets, assisted in the internal FCPA investigation of a global corporation, and represented NFL players in a workers' compensation dispute with an NFL management council.
