Zachary Sharpe

Zac Sharpe has extensive experience managing project tenders and claims and disputes for major shipbuilding and offshore engineering and construction projects.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Zac was head of the offshore legal department at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, Korea, where he supervised a team of lawyers handling both contentious and noncontentious matters for the shipbuilding and offshore engineering divisions of the company, including major projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, Australia, and the Middle East. He managed and advised on institutional and ad hoc arbitrations across Europe and Asia for disputes relating to shipbuilding, construction, engineering, green energy, equipment manufacturing, and long-term supply agreements. He also negotiated EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction), consortium, joint venture, and related supply and financial agreements for major international construction projects, including multibillion dollar floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) plants.
